Practice time!

Today Isabell and I ventured out of the house to go visit my friend, Katie, and her 5 day old little boy, Jackson. Isabell has been practicing for the past week to say his name, but the best we get is “Gack!”, which is cute all on it’s own. She did such a good job [...]

Isabell’s word list

Every day we hear a new word or two. The last few days she has been working on varigating her vowels (i.e. mommy instead of mama) and making words more clear. Here is a list of the words we hear her using now:
up, down, in, out, on, off, hot, Mommy, Daddy, baby, ball, “Lalala” (our [...]

15 months old and still growing…

Nashon and I took Miss Isabell to see the doctor this morning for her 15 month old well child check. Things are looking good! She is still getting bigger every day, but seems to finally be thinning out a bit. Here are her stats for the day:
Head Circumference: 19 inches, 97th percentile
Weight: 24 pounds 13.5 [...]

And now for something different….

Some horrible puns that I found and just loved:
“I have a mitral valve prolapse,” said Tom brokenheartedly.
“We are going to turn this ship left twice in a row!” Tom reported.
“I guess I lose this round. But hey, you know what they say,” replied Tom winsomely.
“What fools these mortals be,” said Tom puckishly.
“Better close up the [...]

Walking in the rain…

Welcome back too a Seattle winter. It’s somewhere in the mid 40s, and it’s raining. Sometimes I get really tired of the rain, but this year I have enjoyed it. However, as Isabell gets bigger and bigger, I am more motivated to get out of the house for at least a few minutes a day. [...]

Tales of Miss Isabell…

Well, Isabell has learned that presents can be opened to find something inside. While we’ve managed to not have all of the presents under the tree come magically unwrapped, she is very interested in helping everyone else open presents! She rips the paper, and then pulls on it until the toy comes out. Right now, [...]

Day late and a dollar short.

I know that ya’ll have been bugging me for pictures from Isabell’s birthday, and yes, I know that I still haven’t put them up. Nashon and I left the photo taking to family members, and while some of them have given us photos, they are all on CDs, and I don’t have a CD rom [...]
